• ELAC (English Learner Advisory Committee)

    ELAC will help English Learners and parents feel comfortable at school. Arroyo Seco forms an English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) comprised of the principal, staff and parents. The ELAC is responsible for advising the principal and staff on programs and services for English learners. The ELAC shall assist the school in the development of the school needs assessment that will assist the community in EL student culture and primary language.  ELAC will also encourage parents to attend school functions, help determine ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance,assist in advising parents regarding school issues such as waivers, assessments and interventions, and to help parents understand the roles of community agencies and services.
