I have been in the field of education for sixteen years and at Marylin Avenue for the past eleven years. I have been teaching 1st grade for nine years. As I was preparing to become a classroom teacher, my motivation was to be an agent for change and to make a difference in the lives of my students.  My philosophy of teaching is a synthesis of things learned from books, life experiences, and practical experience in the classroom. I believe that teachers should work with parents and the community to develop creative thinkers who are knowledgeable, responsible and caring participants who can help contribute to a changing world.
