Clark Conover
Livermore High - Class of 1990
Congratulations to one of LVJUSD’s own, Clark Conover, future inductee into the California Wrestling Hall of Fame! Clark is currently Vice Principal at Granada High School, however, his roots in the Livermore Valley 天美影视 Unified School 天美影视 run deep. Clark began his school career at Arroyo Seco Elementary, attended middle school at East Avenue and graduated from Livermore High School in 1990.
At Livermore High, Clark earned four varsity letters in wrestling and two varsity letters in football. As wrestling team captain, he was a three-time East Bay Athletic League Champion and placed at the CIF North Coast Section tournament three times, culminating with a section championship his senior year. He medaled at the CIF State Championships, Cadet & Junior National Championships, and was a two-time All-American. Not only was Clark an exceptional athlete, he was also a high-achieving student, earning Honor Roll or Principal’s Honor Roll status throughout high school. His combination of academic and athletic excellence earned him the Livermore-Granada Olympian award and Tri-Valley Herald Athlete of the Year award.
Clark continued wrestling while attending Chabot Community College and, in his sophomore year, won the California Community College State Championship. He earned an AA degree from Chabot College, and continued his collegiate studies and wrestling career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, earning his Bachelor of Science in 1996 and Master of Science in 1998. While at Cal Poly, Clark placed 3rd at the PAC 10 Championships, competed at the NCAA Division I Championships, and earned All- American honors at the Espoir Nationals. Clark also debuted his coaching career at Cal Poly, serving as an Assistant Wrestling Coach.
After earning his Teaching Credential from Cal State Hayward in 1997 (where he returned for his Administrative Credential in 2012), Clark began his teaching career in the New Haven USD, working at Cesar Chavez Middle School and James Logan High School. Clark made his way back to Livermore in 1999, becoming a Granada High School math, health and physical education teacher, and wrestling coach. He coached 31 East Bay Athletic League Champions, 35 CIF North Coast Section medalists, and 21 CIF State qualifiers over his twelve seasons of coaching at Granada. He also developed Granada’s Mat Classic varsity wrestling tournament, now in its 18th year.
Clark’s personal athletic excellence and coaching ability proved to be a natural skill-set for an Athletic Director. He became Granada’s Athletic Director in 2007 and held the position for eleven years. As Clark’s professional career expanded, so too did his athletic affiliations. Clark has served on the North Coast Section Wrestling Advisory Committee for more than 20 years and has been a board member of the California Wrestling Hall of Fame for the past eight years.
Clark’s long-standing wrestling career as an athlete and coach earned him inductions into the Chabot College Hall of Fame and the Livermore-Granada Boosters Hall of Fame. He will add to his honors on May 11, 2019, with his induction into the California Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Clark and his family are lifelong residents of Livermore. He and his wife Tammy are both administrators for the 天美影视 and their daughters both students of the 天美影视 in elementary school. Needless to say, the Conover family spends a lot of time in the Livermore Valley 天美影视 Unified School 天美影视! In his free time, Clark enjoys being active, spending time with family and friends, patronizing Livermore businesses, and attending his daughters’ activities. When asked what advice he would give his younger self, Clark said, “Get involved with as many school activities as you can and enjoy the moment.”

Brianne Getgen Loyd
Granada High- Class of 2006
Brianne graduated from Granada High in 2006. While at Granada, she was a 4-year varsity basketball player and was an officer of the Livermore Youth Commission. As an officer of the Livermore Youth Commission, she led the planning of the first annual “Livermore Idol.”
Brianne attended Sonoma State University and graduated in 2010 with summa cum laude honors. She earned her BS in Business Administration with an accounting concentration.
In her professional life, Brianne is a licensed CPA in California. She started her career with Deloitte & Touche LLP in the audit practice as a college intern in the summer of 2009. She started full-time with Deloitte in the fall of 2010 and has served several of Deloitte’s largest audit clients, including Safeway, Gymboree, and McKesson. Brianne is now a senior manager and currently works in Deloitte’s National Office – Accounting and Reporting Services group, where she consults with clients on technical accounting issues relating to revenue recognition, stock compensation and employee benefits, and cash flow and foreign currency matters. Brianne is also a member of the California Society of CPA’s Accounting and Assurance Services Committee, which represents the California Society of CPA’s 45K+ members in California. Brianne was featured on the cover of the November 2018 issue of California CPA magazine and also penned an article (see page 15 in the attached magazine PDF).
Brianne lives in San Francisco with her husband, Brandon. She loves to come back to Livermore to visit her family and go wine tasting.
